Hai, I am Sammie…
I am a female junior Tattoo Artist and body piercer, working from an award winning tattoo studio in Mold, North Wales.
Naturally, as a junior artist I am still exploring the world of tattoo, building my profile, and strengthening my skill set every day.
I have a lot left to learn yet before I would call myself an experienced, seasoned Tattoo Artist, and as such I am still cultivating my true style.
But here are some things that I can tell you about my work and myself:
I am First Aid Certified
I am Infection Control Certified
I am Registered with the Local Council
I am a Fully Qualified Body Piercer
I am Fully Insured
My Tattoo Work
I am a responsible tattooist and pride myself on the customer experience, and although I have no formal qualifications in this, I am experienced in and I do practise Anxiety Control coaching and Pain Management techniques.
I would say that my current strengths in Tattoo Art are evident in my clean and organic flowing line work, which is the foundation of any great tattoo!
I am naturally proficient at (and really enjoy!) dot work, stipple effect, pointillism and feathering. And I work well with both black & grey as well as colour.
For now, my natural style is leaning towards what I’d call ‘Neo-Traditional’, and how I would describe this to you is that I love to create a unique, new interpretation of bold, traditional imagery and symbolism, but with a modern twist.
As I said on the home page, I LOVE COLOUR! and so one of my favourite Female Tattoo Artists right now is
My Piercing Work
I pride myself on the fact that I am (And happy to call myself) a fully qualified, good, clean body piercer, with the utmost respect for hygienic processes, and I operate under scrutinous practises.
I use surgical ‘A’ grade Titanium body jewellery as standard for piercings, but if you have known sensitivities or healing issues, talk to me customising PTFE.
I am a strict ‘No Gun’ piercer!
And you can find out why in the ‘Unicorn Blog’.
Plus… I’m a bit of a perfectionist and so have gained the nickname locally as ‘The Dermal Queen’.
Just one thing though… I only pierce from the waist up!
What I WON’T do!
Every artist has particular things that they will not do, and for various reasons.
As a responsible tattooist and body piercer, there are a few things that I won’t do. Including:
I don’t do Portraits or Hyper Realism Tattoos.
The reason for this is because these kind of tattoos require the highest level of fine art skill and tattoo mastery, reserved for those with revered talent and experience. And one day, that’s exactly where I hope to be! Until then, I won’t take your money for this!
I don’t do glow in the dark ink.
It’s highly toxic to the body, and contains cancer causing carcinogens, and I think it’s a disgusting product.
I reserve my right to refuse service.
Every once in a while, someone will walk in and ask for work that grates against my personal ethics and sense of responsibility.
The kind of work I’d refuse are first time tattoos on public skin, anything that’s too racial, offensive or serves a negative portrayal of religious imagery.
That sort of thing!
I don’t pierce below the waist.
The minimum charge I have for any tattoo work is £30.
Deposit is 50% and is non-refundable.
After that, my hourly rate is £50.
Piercings are charged individually, and can be found on my Prices Page.
